Bias?!?!?!?!

Is it true that people all around us think with a bias and not how we are as individuals? Also do we expect this from our news reporters? Yes we all know the and are guilty of looking at people with tatoos weird hair differently because of how they look. When in actuality they could be just like me and you. The answer to the second question is No. We should not expect this from people who are suppling our knowledge, but we know that this happens. Can we change it? Yea if we wanted to stop believing the news and not watching t.v. but is that real. Also if we look at public funded institutions like PBS or NPR we see that they are neutral yes not as interesting but are informative. this brings me to my next point to we want to be informed or entertained? i would say informed. but that is just how i am . more on this later. comment if you have any ideas for solutions!!!!

I would argue that our respective biases play a large role in molding us into the idividauls that we are. They are not seperate concepts, but rather one helps to construct the other. Life experiences, family and other factors are all used when we form opinions. These opinions, which we assume to be true based on what we know/observe, cause us to have prejudices against things which challenge or disagree with our belief system. It would be impossible to not bring any sort of bias to the newscast on all issues because the reporters must constantly battle to not let their biases be a factor. Ultimately, I argue that our biases help to make us unique individuals.
